Cyclist 1258919
I was out shooting some photos of our bicycle counters in Copenhagen for a magazine cover and ended up with quite a few.

Here is cyclist #1,258,919 since May 1, 2009 on this stretch. It's Hans Christian Andersen Boulevard, right by the City Hall Square. The counter only registers cyclists on one side of the street so you'll have to double the number for the total in both directions.

Great site!
I cycled in CPH this year with my own bike after I finished the Berlin-Copenhagen cycle route and it was great - and a big difference to cycling in Nuremberg, where I live.
Cycling in CPH is part of everyday's culture, not something special that do some freaks only.

Now, call me pedantic, but won't she be number 1,258,920 as she hasn't passed yet? Sorry ;-)

Happy Friday Chic!

she HAS already passed. the sensors under the asphalt are a few metres before the sign, so you can see it switch before you pass.
