A bike with a baby carrier. that's cool. I 'm pretty sure the child is enjoying it. :-)

Hmmm, the women in your photos seem much better dressed. Please tell the Copenhagen men to step it up a notch :)

Why is it that not a single person in any of these pics wears a helmet? I thought Danes were smarter than that.

Indeed the Danes are smarter than that. Like the Dutch. One of the lowest, if not lowest cycling death and injury rates in the world, with a bike helmet wearing rate that hovers close to 1% in a country where most people bike regularly.

The exact opposite of what cycling helmet dogmatists would expect.Because the danger of head injury from accidents while cycling is approximately that for walking near or across a road. And don't forget the danger of falling from even higher distances and hitting your head while climbing stairs or ladders or standing on a chair or stool to reach something at home. And a massive percentage of in-car injuries and fatalities are due to head trauma.

Logic and respect for the facts would require those who insist on wearing helmets while on bikes to insist on them (and legal compulsion if they insist on it for cyclists) for these other cases as well – especially for car occupants given the high rates of in-car head injuries.

Cycling is no more dangerous than walking, and you are more capable in the rare event of a fall of catching yourself on your shoulder or with your hands, saving your head from impact and resulting scratches, cuts, concussions etc. than you are in some of these other situations. Especially inside a car. This question has been discussed endlessly, all the relevant evidence has been brought up, and cycle helmet dogma has been resoundingly rebutted.
