Whenever you read the weather report in newspapers they mention The Length of the Day and how much longer or shorter it is since the last equinox. Today: The Length of the Day is lengthened by 6 hours and 21 minutes. Six and half hours more light since December. And there's plenty more on the way.
The funny thing is that shadows will get shorter the higher the sun rises in the sky towards summer's peak.
