Coasting casually towards the light in anticipation of the change is an art form and a science. It is also far more elegant and civilised than muscling your way to the front of the pack of cyclists to be the first schmuck off the light. Style over Speed.
The body language of many Copenhagen cyclists reveals that it is an effortless affair. When you demystify the bicycle, you happily do away with unfortunate side effects of cycling as 'hobby' or 'sport'. All that unecessary aggression, testosterone and other unattractive things. The light will change. It always does. Relax.
