An Unbelievable Sight

You won't believe this. There I was waiting for the light to change on the bike lane on the corner of Gothersgade and Nørre Farimagsgade in central Copenhagen, minding my own damn business during the snowstorm and suddenly this Copenhagener rolls up beside me on her shiny bike.

I quickly pulled out my little IXUS and snapped this shot of her... see the snowy background... I was lucky to get any focus at all in the low light... and then she sped off to her cocktail party.

I'm just pleased as punch I was quick enough to record the experience for you. It's all true. The whole story. Really. I just hope she didn't get too chilly, what with that stiff northerly roaring down from Norway. But then again she was wearing gloves, so she was prepared for any weather.

[thanks to a lovely lady in Sweden for forwarding this photo to us!]

Wow, that's quite the frame!

Looks like quite the perfect studio lighting (plus shadow right behind) for being in the middle of a snowstorm on the street. I think "unbelievable" does sum it up, as beautiful as it is.

I hope that skirt doesn't get caught in the wheel spokes a la Isadora Duncan...

Wow. I bow to your photo taking god skills and your damn luck. What a bike and a pair of legs to die for!

Err?? this picture is from a website... and it is clearly not shot outside. You can even see her shadow against the studio backdrop.

And why did the person who sent this in think she was going to a cocktail party?

Looks like Cycle Chic just got taken for the proverbial ride. :)

Even better: if you had included the face, I wonder how many would have recognized her (hint: it really is a spicy outfit)? Val

This photo is definately 'framed'. There is NO snow. Shadows against the wall and long dress limps over back wheel. Feet are big enough to belong to a man? Sorry but not a turn on!

I got the hint from Val.

Not sure about her feet being as big as a man's, but this woman's man's right foot is (still) worth a few million. Put it (Bend it) that way...
