If the skirt is short enough or full enough, the top bar keeps any excess fabric out of my spokes/brakes/chain. If I&#39;m wearing a skirt that&#39;s too long and/or narrow for the road frame, I ride a much older lady&#39;s frame instead. <br /><br />I do have a friend who rides in heels on a road frame. She says it&#39;s fairly easy.
