She's stunning but I hope that's fake fur though...

I agree Mary-Laure. Please let not portray fur as chic. There is nothing attractive, sexy or chic about this barbarous and cruel industry, and ignorance is no longer an excuse.

it's mostly real fur in Denmark and nobody seems to get all hot and bothered about it.

i suggest looking into the conditions at your local industrialised chicken farm, pig farm. you'll be far more disgusted by what you see there AND you'll be fighting a real cause with a real effect on society and the protection of animals.

That's a red herring Mikael and you know it. You know it's possible the you can be incensed by the brutal conditions suffered by farm animals under industrialised farming conditions AND also be incensed by the brutality of the fur-trade - in fact consistency in advocacy of animal rights absolutely demands it. This is not an either/or choice and it's utterly disingenuous for you to present it as such.

I'm afraid to say as an avid cyclist (and as someone who actually lives in Scandinavia and consequently knows that the debate is more animated than you would have us believe, as if an apparent lack of debate determines the 'rightness' of the issue anyway) your response is little more than a feeble abrogation and an exercise in cognitive dissonance. When it boils down it you seem to find pretty fur-wearing girls on bicycles more important than the conditions suffered by animals in the fur-trade.
